The Rift #1
By Don Handfield and Richard Rayner, Art by Leno Carvalho
Presented by Academy Award nominee Jeremy Renner, The Rift tells the story of a single mother and her son whose lives change forever after witnessing a WWII fighter pilot from 1941 crash land in present-day Kansas. They find themselves drawn into the work of Section 47, a secret government organization responsible for responding to Rifts that open in space and time.
The Rift #2
After witnessing Cole, a WWII fighter pilot from 1941 crashland in present-day Kansas, single mother Mary Ann and her son find themselves drawn into the work of Section 47, a secret government organization responsible for responding to Rifts that open in space and time. Cole visits his now elderly wife and gets a glimpse at his own fate as he must return to his own age before the Rift explodes, or worse, sends something else through! Presented by two-time Academy Award nominee Jeremy Renner, The Rift is a high concept science fiction adventure grounded in reality, focusing on character relationships and emotion.
The Rift #3
When a young boy emerges from The Rift, Mary Ann hopes to disentangle herself from Section 47, but a dark revelation from her past threatens to destroy her relationships with Elijah and Cole as the team rushes to close the Rift before it's too late for the city of San Francisco.
The Rift #4
Mary Ann, Elijah, and Cole flee the wreckage of San Francisco and head for rural Washington to find Cole's son but the group is pulled back into the web of Section 47 when a Rift opens nearby, sending an unassuming algebra teacher from the 1980s into the present. When Mary Ann learns that the teacher came through while searching for his own missing daughter, she and Cole set out to investigate the connection between the missing girls, the notorious Black River serial killer, and the spiritual nature of these Rifts in time.
The Rift Vol. 1
From Academy Award-nominee Jeremy Renner, The Rift tells the story of Mary Ann, and her son, Elijah, whose lives change forever after witnessing a WWII fighter pilot from 1941 crash-land in present-day Kansas. They find themselves drawn into the work of Section 47, a secret government organization responsible for responding to Rifts that open in space and time. Section 47 must safely send all matter from the past back through these portals before time runs out or else the Rifts go nuclear. The scientists believe it's a matter of physics, but Mary Ann suspects something more spiritual in nature. She believes people arriving from the past have unresolved problems that must settled before the Rifts can close without harm.
